Projects & Collaborations
My work extends beyond individual clinical practice.
I collaborate with organisations, universities, professional communities and interdisciplinary teams on projects related to trauma, grief, suicidology, psychological flexibility and trauma-informed care.
My roles have included programme development, clinical consultation, training, supervision, curriculum design and translating Contextual Behavioral Science into different clinical and organisational settings.
Selected Projects
Support for Those Who Support
Ukrainian Support Centre, Sopot
I developed and facilitated a project for people working directly with individuals and families displaced by the war in Ukraine.
The project focused on the psychological demands of helping in prolonged crisis contexts, including contact with trauma, uncertainty, responsibility, helplessness and the emotional impact of supporting others.
Rather than approaching professional wellbeing solely through the lens of individual resilience or ‘self-care’, the project created space to understand helpers' responses in the wider context of their work and to develop more sustainable ways of remaining engaged with what matters.

COPE — Erasmus+
Trauma-Informed Care across European contexts
I co-created and contributed to the international Erasmus+ COPE project in collaboration with partners from Italy, Croatia and Ukraine.
My work focused on trauma-informed care and the application of contextual and ACT-informed principles in services supporting people affected by trauma and adversity.
I contributed to educational materials, specialist interviews and training resources, including a trauma-informed ACT workshop and workbook.

Psychology of Loss, Dying and Bereavement
Postgraduate education
I co-created and teach within a postgraduate programme focused on the psychology of loss, dying and bereavement.
My teaching addresses psychological processes related to grief, traumatic loss and adaptation following bereavement from contextual and process-based perspectives.
I am particularly interested in the functions of guilt, rumination and attempts to regain control following irreversible loss, and in how psychological flexibility may support continued engagement with life without requiring people to sever their continuing relationship with the person who died.

Akademia Don Kichota
Community mental health & Contextual Behavioral Science
I have been involved in the development of Akademia Don Kichota, an initiative connecting community psychiatry with principles derived from ACT and Contextual Behavioral Science.
The project explores how contextual approaches can be translated beyond the individual therapy room and applied within broader systems of mental health care.

Suicide Bereavement & Postvention
Clinical practice and professional education
A substantial part of my clinical and educational work focuses on people bereaved by suicide and on professional responses following a suicide.
This includes individual clinical work, therapeutic work with bereaved parents, professional training and the development of contextual approaches to guilt, responsibility, rumination and continuing bonds following suicide loss.
I am particularly interested in the distinction between feeling guilty and being responsible, and in understanding the functions that guilt and repetitive counterfactual thinking may serve following an irreversible loss.

Bereaved Parents Support
Therapeutic group work following the death of a child by suicide
I facilitate therapeutic group work for parents whose children have died by suicide.
The work integrates ACT, functional contextualism and relational processes while making room for continuing bonds, ambivalence, guilt, anger, love and the complexity of living after the death of a child.
The aim is not to teach people how to ‘move on’, but to explore how they can carry both the relationship and the pain of loss while gradually rebuilding a life around what continues to matter.
